Hello,
I am experiencing a problem with my browser mozilla 1.7 or so on iMac
G3, which I have not had so far. I am an amateur.
The problem: when trying to get into a secure part of a website
(say "my ebay"), I receive the following message:
"Mistake occured when trying to verify signin.ebay.de via OCSP,
interrupted or unkown answer. Failure code -8073."
Accordingly this happened with other websites (amazon etc).
with this another message is shown:
"You cannot get into the secure area of -name of website - because an
SSL-mistake occured (-5994)"
Who can help me.
Thank you, Hans

Is this new? I suddenly started getting some SSL problems on Friday.
With things that had worked before.
But I attributed it to a computer crash I had Friday morning.

It was new. But my trust in the "self healing" capacity of the iMac has
been restored, since it is working again. Only snag, I still will not know
what caused the temporary "black out". Thank you anyway for responding.
